Hacia una estética al margen del arte

Abstract

Este artículo parte del análisis de la relación existente entre obra de arte y aura en la época teorizada por Walter Benjamin como técnicamente reproductiva. A partir de allí la propuesta será la de pensar al arte como un entramado de funciones en el que se conjugan saber, placer y mercado, y al aura como el afuera irreductible de ese entramado. Desprendida de estas relaciones resulta la conceptualización de una estética al margen del arte, en torno a la cual las obras girarían en ocasiones como conducentes y otras veces como obturadoras del acontecimiento artístico. De lo que se trata es de poner en relación las redes estables de identificación y remisión que tiende el arte con las fuerzas disruptivas y discontinuas que lo atraviesan.

The article begins by analizing the relationship between work of art and aura in the age Walter Benjamin described as mechanically reproductive. Based on that, it will address art as a framework of functions in which knowledge, pleasure and market merge and aura will be understood as the framework’s unyielding outside. From this relationship follows an esthetic on the edge of art, in which work of arts would sometimes contribute to inherently generate the artistic event and other times would prevent the artistic event to occur. It is about putting in relation the identification and remission nets that art creates with the disruptive and discontinous forces that cross it.
