La Gran Guerra y la unidad latinoamericana en tiempos de la Revolución (México, 1914-1916)

Abstract

A través del análisis de fuentes primarias hasta ahora poco abordadas para el período y el tema que se aborda, este artículo da cuenta de cómo la Gran Guerra desempeñó un papel de primer orden en la estructuración del discurso latinoamericanista en tiempos de Venustiano Carranza; a su vez, se argumenta que ese discurso representó la principal influencia ideológica y política en la formación del movimiento estudiantil mexicano.

Through the analysis of primary sources so far little approached for the period and the subject under discussion, this article shows how the Great War played a major role in the structuring of the Latin Americanist discourse in the times of Venustiano Carranza. In turn, it is argued that this discourse represented the main ideological and political influence in the formation of the Mexican student movement.
