El empuje de lo colectivo

Abstract

Los primeros pasos fueron un taller de cooperativismo muy interesante ya que estaba dado por talleristas que habían hecho una tecnicatura en la misma casa de estudios. Esos primeros pasos se transformaron al año siguiente en una diplomatura en economía social y solidaria, por supuesto que me volqué de lleno. Sentí que era lo mejor que por hacer: focalizar mis pensamientos en seguir capacitándome y detener esa rumia incesante sobre aquella crisis vital que casi me dejaba sin aire. Dos años después puedo decir que lo aprendido es inmensurable. Primero aprendí que la economía social y solidaria es una alternativa al terrible sistema destructivo del capitalismo. Aprendí que existe y que se aplica hace mucho tiempo, que es la respuesta que encontró la sociedad a grandes necesidades que otros sistemas no pueden aportar. Pero no solo aprendí sobre economía. Aprendí a sentarme en un aula de otra manera, de una manera en la que todos estamos enfrentados, podemos vernos las caras y escuchar lo interesante que tenemos para aportar. Aprendí que una comunidad de aprendizaje se gesta en cualquier área, bajo cualquier contexto y con la más amplia heterogeneidad.

The first steps involved a very interesting cooperative workshop, led by instructors who had completed a technical degree at the same institution. Those initial steps evolved the following year into a diploma program in social and solidarity economy, which I wholeheartedly embraced. I felt it was the best thing I could do: focus my thoughts on continuing my education and stop the incessant rumination on that life crisis that was almost suffocating me. Two years later, I can say that what I've learned is immeasurable. First, I learned that the social and solidarity economy is an alternative to the terrible, destructive system of capitalism. I learned that it exists and has been practiced for a long time, that it's society's answer to significant needs that other systems cannot meet. But I didn't just learn about economics. I learned to sit in a classroom differently, in a way that allows us all to engage, see each other's faces, and listen to the valuable contributions we each have. I learned that a learning community can develop in any field, under any context, and with the broadest diversity.
