Resumen
En América Latina se afirma –sin sustento teórico y documental– que no existen políticas progresistas de seguridad ciudadana. En general, estas visiones están inscritas en concepciones tecnocráticas propias del pensamiento único. Con este trabajo se concluye algo distinto: no solo que hay políticas de seguridad diferenciadas por tipos de gobiernos, sino que los países progresistas han sido mucho más eficaces que los de derecha. In Latina América is stated that there are no exist progressive citizen se- curity policies. That affirmation without theorical and documental support. Those visions are enrolled in technocratic conception own unique thought. But with this article concludes some different. Then not only are security policies different of type of government, otherwise that progres- sive countries are be more efficient that right-wing government.
