Desarrollo local frente a la crisis : nuevos contextos y nuevos planteamientos

Abstract

Las intensas transformaciones socioeconómicas y espaciales ocurridas durante las últimas décadas del siglo XX hicieron necesarias nuevas claves para explicar los procesos de desarrollo territorial. La profunda crisis que padece ahora el sistema está generando de nuevo profundas y complejas mutaciones que necesitan ser investigadas. En este contexto general de referencia, el objetivo de este artículo es reflexionar acerca de los cambios requeridos por los estudios sobre desarrollo local ante esta nueva crisis. Este objetivo general se desglosa en otros específicos tales como: revisar la evolución experimentada por las líneas de investigación que han nutrido hasta ahora al grupo de trabajo de la Red de Iberoamericana de Investigadores sobre Globalización y Territorio: sistemas productivos locales, redes de innovación y desarrollo territorial; analizar las transformaciones socioeconómicas y territoriales producidas por la crisis; destacar la importancia de la escala local para profundizar en el conocimiento de los efectos territoriales que está generando; y proponer la incorporación de nuevas temáticas de interés para el desarrollo local en el nuevo contexto que ahora se perfila.

The intense socioeconomic and spatial transformations in the last decades of the twentieth century made new keys needed to explain the processes of territorial development. The deep systemic crisis now afflicting the system is generating new deep and complex mutations that need to be investigated. In this general context of reference, the objective of this article is to reflect on the changes required by the studies on local development in this new crisis. This general objective can be broken down into other specifics, such us: reviewing the evolution experienced by the research so far that have nurtured the group of the Iberoamerican Network of Researchers on Globalization and Territory: Local productive systems, innovation networks and local development; analyze socio-economic and territorial transformations produced by the crisis; emphasize the importance of local knowledge to deepen the territorial effects it is generating; and propose the incorporation of new interest for local development in the new context now emerging themes.
