Mayorazgos, pueblos de indios y campos comuneros : la propiedad indivisa en La Rioja (siglos XVII – XIX)
Resumo
El artículo se ocupa de los tres tipos de propiedad indivisa que coexistieron en La Rioja durante la Colonia. Se compara la génesis, distribución regional y evolución entre los siglos XVII y XIX de mayorazgos, pueblos de indios y campos comuneros, y se apunta a recuperar una perspectiva que articule los procesos de conquista, poblamiento y formación de las élites, formatos institucionales
y disputas por derechos de propiedad. En particular, se profundiza en la coyuntura promovida por las reformas borbónicas cuando las presiones individualistas se hicieron sentir y generaron una intensa conflictividad por tierras. The article focuses on the three types of undivided lands that coexisted in La Rioja region during colonial times. Their origin, regional distribution and the evolution of mayorazgos, pueblos de indios and campos comuneros between the XVII th and XIX th centuries are hereby compared with the aim of achieving a perspective that can allow articulation between the processes of conquest, patterns of settlement and the formation of elites, institutional formats and property grant disputes. Special focus is granted to the conjuncture to which the region is led by the borbonic reforms, when individualist pressures intensify and the conflicts for land escalate correspondingly.
