The european route toward the information society.
Abstract
El siguiente artículo procura identificar cuáles son los ejes de la política europea de
construcción de la Sociedad de la Información (SI) a través del análisis crítico de las iniciativas más sobresalientes en la materia y, particularmente, a partir de los expedientes elaborados por la Comisión Europea. En este sentido, el objeto del trabajo es identificar las claves del modelo de la SI a través de su escenario de desarrollo actual, para evitar de este modo la tentación profética inherente al discurso propagandizador de la SI , cuyo mínimo común denominador es la apelación a consumir más. The aim of the following article is to identify the European policy objectives in the construction of the Information Society (IS) via a critical analysis of the most outstanding initiatives in the field, and, particularly, from the dossiers drafted by the European Commission. In this sense, the object of this project is to identify the clues to the IS model through its present development, so as to avoid the prophetic temptation inherent in the propaganda of the IS, whose minimal common denominator is the appeal to consume more.
